Time was when the school teacher who rouged in private and used powder in public, was the talk of the town. Alarmed parents discussed the daring acts of the undignified members of the school faculty and advocated suspension.

And here’s what he says Miss 1926 will be like:
She will weigh between 115 and 120 pounds.
She will be about five feet four inches tall.
She will affect the face of a corpse.
It will be painted a ghastly white with carmine smears across the lips.
her hair will be predominately hennaed or blond. Few brunets will be seen.
She will balance with dexterity a cigarette holder no less than 10 inches long between her teeth.
She will use kiss-proof rouge at evening.
Flappers must never be FAT.
They must love attention -
and HATE chaperones.
They must be exceedingly young.

And wear bobbed hair.
Flappers should be clothed in
Short dresses and LOTS of rouge.
They must absolutely ADORE
Lemon cokes and soda squirts -
And not have a speck of grey matter.
