The Wichita Beacon, Kansas, September 21, 1921

Twelve year old Ardath Leona Monroe (nicknamed Roie) survived her sister and parents, despite doctor’s beliefs, and worked as a registered nurse for forty years. She passed away in 2001. The murderer of her family was never found.
