They will probably marry some obscure young tradesmen or artisans in the Crimea and settle down to memories of their former high estate.

The latest name suggested is one that would be in every way suitable - the Grand Duchess Olga of Russia. She is a very beautiful girl, with the Madonna-like beauty of her mother, but without her extreme reserve and shyness.
London, September 20, 1913
WHAT IS TO BECOME OF THEM? Former Grand Duchess Olga, now plain Miss Olga Romanoff and former Grand Duchess Tatiana, now plain Miss Tatiana Romanoff, eldest children of the former czar of Russia. When Nicholas II was dethroned by the revolution, Olga’s marriage plans, as one of the most desirable bridges in all Europe, went glimmering. It had several times been reported that she was to marry the Prince of Wales. Her younger sister Tatiana also was due to marry an heir apparent or a prince. Their rank now gone and their father, once emperor and an autocrat of all the Russias but now plain Mr. Nicholas Romanoff, a prisoner, these pretty girls may marry some obscure young tradesmen or artisans in the Crimea and settle down to memories of their former high estate.
