Intolerance and bigotry are not merely impolite. They are pathetic, in so far as they show ignorance, and ugly as they show the domineering, crushing spirit.
I admit that a cat has a good reason for prejudice against a dog, or a man against a rattlesnake.
But that sort of prejudice is based on the instinct of self-protection.
I don’t know what religious and racial prejudices are based on, but certainly nothing substantial.
