Madame Yale’s lectures were basically a big long sales pitch for her products: lip salves, “fertilizer” (for constipation), “fruitcura” (for “female weakness”) shampoos, eyelash grower, blood tonics, wart removers, complexion bleaches and hand whiteners, face enamel, liquid rouge, and “bust food”.
