Loving the heck out of this "Dear George"-column from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch! Can't say I've heard of it until today; am I correct in assuming that it was intended as a spoof of "Dear Abby"-types of columns rather than an actual advice column?

That’s exactly what it is!
I wish there was more of it. John Keasler, the man who wrote it, only began writing it in mid 1959 and moved back to Florida in 1960. He wrote for the Miami News until it shut up shop in 1988.
Edit: I think Keasler’s column might have been syndicated later on! I will keep digging…
