OK was the St Louis-post dispatch a legitimate newspaper? It's stories seem like they came from the 1908 Onion.

Definitely, it was a Pulitzer paper, like the New York World (where he hired Nellie Bly - she wrote Ten Days in a Madhouse and traveled around the world in 72 days for his paper)! If Joseph could’ve given the award himself I’m sure his writers would’ve received a couple, haha.
Since the creation of the prize the paper’s actually has received 18 Pulitzer prizes. Pulitzer descendants (his son, grandson and great-grandson) had a hand in the running of the paper until 1995 (The Post-Dispatch and the rest of Pulitzer Inc. was sold in 2005).
