For the decades 1900 and 1910, do you ever see them being called the "aughts"/"teens"? Do you think that in the future we will refer to the 2000's and 2010's that way? Or is it possible that these years may never get remembered in a well-defined way such as "the 20s" "the 80s" etc, just because we don't have good shorthand for those decades?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen that! The 90s were referred to as “the 90s” (or, the gay 90s) definitely, and the 80s, 70s, etc.
I know it’s not what your asking but they did call it the Edwardian era while it was happening, not just in retrospect.
I tried to do a search for what people were calling it but didn’t come up with much. I did find this though (sorry, it’s kind of hard to read!)
