The golf course had an elegant dining terrace where the rich patrons would enjoy their dinner. The terrace overlooked the beautifully manicured links and a lake. Unfortunately, the servants at the golf course and the young boys living in tenements nearby had discovered the lake and thought it would be a great place to cool off during the sweltering summer as temperatures reached record highs. This was highly objectionable to the golf-goers - who wants to watch the poor splash in the formerly tranquil lake while trying to eat a peaceful dinner?
So the golf course bought a pair of alligators to keep the servants and the boys out of the lake, but the alligators had other ideas..
