I’m not sure who this is. It says Mary of Spain, that makes me think Maria Christina, who was queen consort and then queen regent, but this portrait looks too young (she was 55 in 1913) and she hadn’t been regent since 1902. Then I thought it might be one of her two daughters, first Maria de las Mercedes (but she was better known as Mercedes), then I thought maybe it was Maria Teresa, but she died in 1912 and in either case neither were queen. The queen consort at this time was (and had been since 1906) Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg so it’s probably her and the name is a mistake? Any ideas, anyone? Either way it’s an interesting photo!
