Whoever drew the decatur (?) daily review comics is my hero. They are all fantastic

Asked by Anonymous

Haha, I know! I love them too!

For the most part they’re part of a series called Vignettes of Life by J Norman Lynd, a series which he had taken over in 1927 from another artist, Frank Goodwin, (who had begun the series in 1924) and continued until 1939. The Decatur Tribune picked them up as a full-page comic for their Sunday supplement around 1933 but by 1936 they were half-pages. Unfortunately Mr Lynd died of a heart attack in 1942 and that was the end of Vignettes.

My favorite thing about them is how most still apply today!
