Mrs. Lindbergh's knees show in this photograph so the Del Monte publicity bureau, whose cameraman caught the flyer’s wife clambering down a hill, suppressed it. Picture editors would have snapped up this shot but Del Monte felt that it was too undignified for the public to see.
